Organizations: The School of Engineering listing of student organizations
at the University of Virginia.
Virginia Engineering Foundation:
The foundation is responsible for all fund-raising, alumni activities, and
public relations for the Engineering School, to aid and promote, by financial
assistance and otherwise, all types of engineering education at the University
of Virginia School of Engineering.
Engineering School
Student Council:The Engineering Student Council at the University of
Virginia represents the engineering student body to the administration, faculty,
and general public. The council serves to provide social, intellectual, and
service activities to the student body and to encourage school spirit and
pride.
National
Society of Black Engineers at UVA: To increase the number of culturally
responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally,
and positively impact the community.
Omicron Xi Engineering Society: Co-ed
social/service oriented engineering society. Since its conception, O Xi as
strived to become recognized as a society devoted to service to benefit both
the school and the Charlottesville community. Past projects have included the
Charlottesville 10-Miler, Highway Clean-up, and a haunted house for underprivileged
children for Halloween.
Theta Tau Pi :
National Professional Engineering Fraternity. Theta Tau is a national professional
coeducational engineering fraternity. Membership is open to students of engineering.
Theta Tau is the oldest and largest professional engineering fraternity. There
are 40 chapters nationwide. Pi Chapter is located at the University of Virginia
in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Trigon Engineering
Society: Trigon is a socially-oriented brotherhood which also participates
in service projects for both the University and the Charlottesville community.
