Biographical Information

Dr. Joonhyo Kim joined the Traffic Operations Laboratory (TOL) at the Center for Transportation Studies as a research associate in September 2007. Dr. Kim conducts research related to traffic operations, stochastic optimization of traffic signal timing plan, traffic estimation and prediction systems, and microscopic simulation modeling. He received his M.E. degree from the Texas A&M University in December 2001 and his Ph.D. from the Pennsylvania State University in August 2006. Dr. Kim is the principal developer of TWOSIM (TWO-lane two-way highway SIMulator), which is a microscopic simulation model for two-lane two-way highways.
