Biographical Information

Starting September 2005, Jianhua Guo joined the Smart Travel Laboratory (STL), part of the Center for Transportation Studies at the University of Virginia. Dr. Guo is involved in research projects, including wireless location technology based traffic monitoring demonstration and evaluation, dynamic sampling, and vehicle infrastructure integration (VII). His primary research interests include traffic operations, intelligent transportation systems, statistical sampling, and time series analysis. Dr. Guo received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at the North Carolina State University in 2005, with the dissertation focusing on adaptive estimation and prediction of vehicular traffic condition series.
