Biographical Information

Guimin Zhang received her MCS degree in Computer Science from the University of Virginia in 2002 and her Master's degree in Condensed Matter Physics and her Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics from University of Science and Technology, Beijing (USTB) in 1996 and 1993. She worked as a University Lecturer in USTB from 1996 to 1999. Starting September 2004, Guimin joined the Smart Travel Lab (STL), part of the Center for Transportation Studies at the University of Virginia.

As a lead developer, Guimin is mainly responsible for developing software for the preparation of data used for the research projects carried out in the lab. She also participate in various research projects, database design, advising on and helping students with programming issues, and day-to-day lab operations.
