Biographical Information
Ramkumar (Ram) Venkatanarayana is a Research Scientist with the Smart Travel Lab. He is a Eno Fellow, recipient of the 'Outstanding Student of the Year 2001 Award' for the George Mason Consortium University Transportation Center, and recipient of the '2006 Robinson Award' from the Smart Travel Lab. Dr.Venkatanarayana has earned a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Madras , Chennai, and a MS and PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from University of Virginia , Charlottesville, Virginia. He has two years experience with the operations and management of crude oil transportation using pipelines. His interests include Intelligent Transportation Systems, Performance Measurement, Safety, Security, and Workforce development.
